How the heck do I install Vista on Snow Leopard???

This has been the most frustrating thing!
I am attempting to install Vista 32bit (I've tried 64bit as well...)using VB on my MacBook: CPU 2.16 core Duo Memory 1GB 667 Running snow Leopard 10.6.5
I have attempted to install versions 3.2.6, 3.2.8 & 3.2.10 and neither has worked.
I keep getting " Invalid Settings Detected" which will not allow me to configure settings.
What should I do? I have repaired disk permissions already and still nothing.
Help!
p.s. I should mention when I have also tried to just install Vista which NEVER succeeds , it freezes the computer.(see attachments)
