Running Win7 as guest in VirtualBox on 2-core MacBook Pro with 4 GB RAM. Assigned 1398 MB to the VM.
Enabled VT-X and Nested Paging.
The Win7 guest runs VERY slow as soon as Chrome is running on the OSX host. Closing Chrome on the host makes Win7 speed up. I get the feeling that Chrome and VirtualBox aren't playing nicely or just interfering badly with each other...
Any ideas how to resolve this? I'd really like to keep using Chrome as my main browser on OSX, but also need to run some stuff in Windows at the same time.
Any settings that could cause this (have to admit I'm no virtualization master)?
Thanks,
Goran

Re: Win7 guest on OSX host very slow when running Chrome on
I'm having a similar issue with a Win7 guest on Fedora host, running Chrome on the host as well. I know it's been almost a year since this was first posted but I'm unable to upgrade to VirtualBox 4.x because it for some unknown reason crashes the whole computer.

And almost exactly one year later, same issue. Running chrome at the same time on a relatively powerful machine results in an insane slowdown of the entire system.

In that case I would get in touch with Google right away.
