I have some Xen guests (SLES10 and SLES11) running on SLES 11 host that I would like to convert to Virtual Box guests so that I can run them on my Mac Mini Server with SL Server host. I found this article and saw a few more on Google searches that explain how to convert Xen guests to Virtual Box guests.

Does anyone have any experience doing this? Is the conversion process reliable that my Xen guests will become stable Virtual Box guests? Or am I better off creating my VM's from scratch rather than taking the time to go through the conversion process?
Thanks.

Re: Converting Xen Guests to Virtual Box Guests
Should work just fine. But if you are really concerned, you can always use imaging software like CloneZilla and 'clone' the Xen Guest to VB.

Re: Converting Xen Guests to Virtual Box Guests
Thanks for the Clonezilla suggestion. I use Clonezilla on a regular basis to clone my server before running updates. I never thought to use Clonezilla as a way to move the image from Xen to Virtual Box.

Re: Converting Xen Guests to Virtual Box Guests
Just make sure you 'fix' the interface names after the move. The rules for them exist somewhere in /etc/udev/rules.d.
