With a friend we'd like to play a LAN of Dungeon Keeper 1. This game doesn't support TCP/IP (only IPX), and doesn't work neither in Win 7 (my PC) nor Vista (his laptop).
I've installed Windows XP inside Virtual Box, and sent to my friend the resulting disk file.
We're connected by Wi-Fi and can ping each other successfully. But inside VirtualBox we can't connect to each other (using a bridged connection) because it says that "the network did not assign a network address to the computer". But when we then click "Details...", there's an IP address listed and we CAN ping each other from within XP!
Though both XP have IPX installed and configured like on this page -

- we don't see each other when one of us tries to host a game.
I don't have Internet from within the VM either.

Re: IPX connection woes
IFAIK IPv6 and IPX in VirtualBox is only supported via a wired network. Wireless supports only IPv4.
