Bridged networking w7 host with linux guest

Post by crex »

Hello everyone,

at first, sorry for my bad english.

I have problem with bridged networking. My host is W7. With every of my linux guest dont have internet connection (NAT is working). WXP guest working good but linux guest is not.

But what is really not logical: When i look on my router dhcp, i see that he assign some ip to virtual linux guest.

I have search on this forum and over the internet. There is a many similar problems but anything thats looking like this. I hope that im not blind and im understanding everything in right way.

I appreciate whichever support.

PS: Firewall is off. Network adapter: Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabyte Ethernet Controller, Router: D-Link 524

So you have internet on the Guest when set to NAT, but you rather use bridged. The XP guest works fine, but the Linux ones don't for some reason. Have you checked the IP configuration on the Linux Guests and compared it to your Host and the XP Guest? What are the results of the quick network test in the VirtualBox FAQ?
