[SOLVED] Slackware how install guest additions?

Just installed slackware, of which I have no experience, as a guest in a Debian Lenny Linux host.
It can be communicated with at the black screen. However did 'startx & <return>' and got a graphical type display but do not seem to be able to interact with it with mouse or keyboard.
How do I get back to the black screen? Know this is basic but cannot work out how to look it up. Am thinking to install guest additions at the black screen and then the X type stuff might work??

Thanks, got that:
http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=15679 . But 'host+F2' like it suggests does not get me back to the black screen - nothing happens. So I cannot get any command into the thing. Anyroad perhaps I'd just better try rebooting and get back to the black screen that way.

Rebooted and did
and it made the kernel modules and so on without having to install anything else. Still does not work in XFCE, a slimmed down desk top environment, however.

this is Salix (which is Slackware based) running in VirtualBox.
To get the guest additions to install properly in Slackware, you need to also install the kernel source. The headers for Slackware are "incomplete"

Thanks. I have not been able to get Slackware to respond to keyboard or mouse; re-installed twice and it is just non-existent. So will try Salix. Good stuff.
EDIT: Installed Salix, very quick and easy. Thanks again. Completely new to Slackware, so do not know how to install the stuff it needs to build the guest addition kernel modules??
