Hello,

We have a software that runs on MS-DOS and must communicate with a specific card installed on port isa.
We want to use this software in VBox with a machine that runs XP.
Is it possible to access to the ISA port with VBox in this case?

Do we have to do a specific development?
Can you help us, Please?

Thank you,

You can't pass hardware to a VM, except USB. If you want this anyway, then I suggest a type-1 hypervisor like Xen that can allocate physical hardware to a VM.

I d'ont know xen, so I tried to take a look, but in the configuration guide it does not say how can we configure an ISA port?
I also wonder knowing, if xen can configure the DMA and IRQ?
thank you

All I know is that Xen can pass PCI slots/IDs to a VM. The exact works behind it is not for this forum.
