Post by gingercat »

I don't have a windows disc to boot into Vbox. my computer came with vista preinstalled and I had to make my own recovery discs. is there anyway to make a image of my computer to use in vbox?

I'm new so sorry if the answer is obvious

If you use imaging software like CloneZilla, then you should in theory be able to restore your Windows in the VM. You do need to read up on how to use the software to restore it and you also have to take the massive hardware changes into account that will very likely let Windows crash upon boot. There is plenty of information about all this on the forums already, so please search and check the howto section.
