Help with higher resolution

I have a 13" mac book pro running virtualbox 3.2.10 with running XP Pro. My installation went really good, i have sound usb and everything.
The current resolution is 800 x 600 but I want to take advantage of my macbook pro's screen size. I switched it to the larger available screen resolutions in the properties and it will fit the width BUT, the height is the problem. I have to un-capture to scroll down.
Is there a way to have a resolution that will fit the full screen of my 13" macbook pro??
I tried to search for this in previous posts but was not able to find anything. I apologize if this is a similar post.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you!!!!

You need to install the guest additions (in the guest)

I apologize, I am not sure I know what you are talking about.
Are there display "drivers" that I can install? If so, where do I find them? How do I know I am installing the correct ones?
I know I have a lot of questions, I try to research as much as I can before asking.
I assume, I am using the correct terminology: my mac is the host and win xp pro is guest, correct?
Thanks again for all the help.

All the questions you just asked are in the
User Manual. I suggest you read it so we don't have to quote it.

ok, reading the manual does help a lot.
For those of you who installed VM on a Mac and running Windows XP. I couldn't find the iso image on the mac (probably because I am new) so I loaded it on a thumbdrive from a pc and then used it on the virtualbox on the mac
Excellent utilities! Fixes a lot of things.
Thanks again guys!!!

The Guest Additions are shipped with VB and simply clicking on Devices > Install Guest Additions will put it in the media manager and load the it on the virtual DVD drive, so I really wonder why you had to use a thumb drive.

Hello, and thank you for the good product! I am using Virtual Box for a week and enjoy it!
But I have the same question the topicstarter does.
I really had a hope to find an answer here on official forum - but...

do you have this forum to post links to your manual?
Not because I don't like to read it, but I really do not like to read such manuals - there are maybe 100 pages to read

No search and without knowing more about the problem I cant find the solution and the page in this manual where to read about it.
Thats why we ask on forums from those who knows more about manual and can quote for us
Thats how it should work I think.
Thank you for your service againe, I hope someone will find easy solution and explanation how to make windows xp resolution for mac - these is just my simple keywords I use to find, I will appreciate if you can tell me more of them and I will look myself and then post solution here for such people like me

MAC - goto Terminal and run this command
Code: Select all
VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/MaxGuestResolution 1440x900
1440x900 for MacAir
In your VirtualBox
You need to install the guest additions (in the guest)
Works full screen!
Thank you!
