openSUSE 11.3 x64 under Win7Pro x64 - installation fails

Hi,
I am new to this board so if this question has appeared an been answered before, please link me to it as the search found no matches to my queries, but I may have used the wrong keywords.
The problem is this:
On my laptop I am still running Vista Home Premium 32 bit as host OS (but am planning to upgrade it to Win7Ultimate x64). In this 32 bit host OS I have VirtualBox 3.2.10 and openSUSE 11.3 32 bit running nicely.
On my Home PC the host OS is Win7Pro x64. Installed VirtualBox 3.2.10 on this one yesterday and wanted to install openSUSE 11.3 x64 in it today, but at an early stage YAST2 told me that it could not install on a 32 bit computer and told me to get the 32 bit version.
The supported guest OS list tells me that several 64 bit linux distributions do work.
Anyone got an idea why openSUSE 11.3 won't? Or even better: Any hints or ideas how to make it work?
