National Instruments USB drivers

Post by vix »

VBox 3.2.10 PUEL, Windows XP SP2 Host, Windows XP SP2 Guest.
In order to use National Instruments USB devices (USB-6009 for example) you have to install te same version of drivers in the host and in the guest.
If the version is different, the guest sees the device connecting then disconnecting continously (http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic. ... nts#p95259).
Is this an expected behaviour or a bug?

No answers?
I think that a typical use for a Virtual Machine is for trying a different configuration of softwares and/or drivers, so it's not so useful if I must install the same version of drivers both in the host and in the guest.
