Scientific Linux 5.2 installation on windows xp and 7

Recently I downloaded the DVD version of Scientific Linux
SL-52-100608-x86_64-DVD.iso
from internet and tried installing on both windows Xp and 7 host in virtual box 3.2.4 but when I started the machine it hanged at the boot screen though the Task manager showed memory and processor usage after leaving it for one hour even nothing happended.

I downloaded from it from this url http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/sc ... so/x86_64/
Everytime I downloaded a cd image it booted well with Virtual box.Do I need to do something before starting the virtual box scientific linux machine?Please do Tell Me.
My desktop configuration is :
Intel Core 2 Quad cpu Q9650
Windows xp sp3
3.49 Gb RAM
and laptop configuration is
Intel Core i3
Windows 7
3 GB RAM

-edit- prefer to install 32bit from http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/sc ... /iso/i386/ on 32bit host ...

I tried this on windows 7 which is 64 bit.I dont think there should be any problem.Any way from x86_64 package we can install any 64 bit or 32 bit package but the system But he system hangs from the beginning itself.Is the downloaded DVD corrupted?

post a VBox.log as attachment
Is the downloaded DVD corrupted?
apart from yourself: who should be able to find out?

i asked for the 64bit Windows 7 hosts log to see why it doesn't run there

your log is from XP 32bit host: you need to explicitly enable support for 64bit guest (see link to the manual)

These are are the logs from 64bit windows 7 os
