Sorry for my poor english.
I use a media type convert software that convert dnxhd to mxf format. When I use this software in physical windows server 2008, I notice that "windows task manager" - "performance" that "cached" memory grow fast and up to 1650, and "free" memory down to zero. After converting, the "cached" memory down to 165 and "free" memory up to 1637. But when I run this software in virtualbox vm, the "cached" memory also up to 1650, but after finished converting, the "cached" memory not release automaticly until I reboot the vm. if I not reboot this vm and continue convert another media file(I test use the same media file), the conversion time become long.
Why? Is there any different between physical os and vm with memory management? Do I need some additional setting when I create the windows 2008 vm?
