Games for Windows Live in VirtualBox

Ok, so my host is OS X, using VirtualBox to login into a Windows 7 guest. I have a bridged network connection which seems to be working fine. I can access the internet and access other shared folders on my Windows XP box.
I downloaded and installed GFWL client and when I click to run, it says no internet connection found yet I can browse just.
Is it possible to run GFWL within a Windows 7 guest environment?
