Passing Microphone to a headless VM...

may not be a VBox specific question. Not sure. Maybe someone can help me anyway...
I use VBox to run a headless Win7 Guest on a Opensuse server. I connect via standard RDP (Opensuse Workstation KRDC) and forward the guest-Sound to the workstation.
Can I somehow use a microphone attached to the workstation to feed speach in a voice application running on the remote guest? Oh: The microphone is directly attached to the onboard sound of the workstation. It is NOT a USB-attached headset / Mic.
Kin dregards,
Martin
