I use VB for most of my software testing however I cannot resolve sound problems on the guest machine. I use Adobe Captivate to record software tutorials but trying to run this on a XP guest machine always results in very scratchy sound quality. I realise there have been numerous posts about this, I have installed the latest 3.2.8 but the problems still persist. has anyone managed to find a solution.
Plantronics USB Headset on XP SP3 Host
Default Intel driver on VB XP Guest SP3 .net 4
Captivate is using line for the recording
I have to revert to using virtualPC for the tutorials which is a nuisance.

Re: Poor Sound on XP Guest with XP Host
I have just run some quick tests using the latest build 3.2.10 and it appears that sound problems have been resolved this is great news I can now ditch the remaining virtual PC vm I was running. for testing. FYI if you are running XP guests you need to go to the control panel - sound - advanced and deselect the mute checkbox for line in in order to get a USB microphone to work.
thanks
