VLC & Video Tip

I don't know if this is the proper forum for this but thought I would share anyway. Since I have used a "zillion" guests in VB I have had issues with some trying to get videos to play correctly in VLC and some other players. Turns out there is a setting in the advanced settings of VLC called "overlay video" in the Video tab of course, which tries to directly address a video card and at least in some guests, wreaks havoc as in stuttering, freezing, and even crashing the guest. turn it off. VLC works great then. As far as other players, some you can set to only use x11 video and that works as well. can't say what to do with others with no obvious way to change what video module they use.

pardon me if this tidbit of info is redundant.
