Virtual Box gives me a critical error. There is the 20 last lines of the log .

Well, this isn't good:

Code: Select all

00:00:01.894 File system of '/home/masterkorp/.VirtualBox/HardDisks/Ruindows XP Pro SP3.vdi' is unknown
It means that the VDI is stored on a drive or partition that has a file system that VB doesn't know about or supports. A bit further down the log, I see where it went wrong and a lot of debug info is generated after a Guru Meditation.

Code: Select all

00:00:30.167 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
00:00:30.167 !!
00:00:30.167 !! Guru Meditation -2403 (VERR_TRPM_DONT_PANIC)
00:00:30.167 !!
00:00:30.167 !! TRAP=06 ERRCD=00000000ffffffff CR2=000000008019b753 EIP=ff8eeeeb Type=0
00:00:30.167 !! EIP in VMMGC.gc (ff8d9000) at rva 15eeb near symbols:
00:00:30.167 !! ff8eee90 rva 00015e90 off 0000005b PGMDynMapHCPage
00:00:30.167 !! ff8eefe0 rva 00015fe0 off -000000f5 _ZL23pgmDynMapGCPageInternalP2VMyPPv
00:00:30.167 !! fff8:ff8eeeeb 66 0f 6e 04 be movd xmm0, dword [esi+edi*4]
00:00:30.167 !!
00:00:30.167 !!
00:00:30.167 !!
This shows that after 30 seconds of VM runtime, it went to a Guru meditation state. Essentially, it crashed. Some kind of illegal call or action was used to cause this.

Do you have any idea what might have caused this type of panic? Is the ISO you're installing from valid?

Oh :S
In my desktop is reiserfs ( the filesystem that i store my home data ) and it works.
My desktop is running Ubuntu.

I tried with two different ISOs that i downloaded legally from my account in the Microsoft software center.

Do you have any idea what can cause this exception ?
Probably the problem is my server.

The problem is that your version of VirtualBox OSE was wrongly compiled. The VMMGC.gc module contains SSE code which is wrong. The maintainer which compiled this code did overwrite the compiler flags.
