Hi

In my office we need to install Vista with one local application base which will be available from all computer. We are using Ubuntu.

So I thought thath I can install VirtualBox on every Ubuntu and then put virtualmachine and virtualdisk directory to network drive.

It worked fine for w while but windows crashed when one virtual machine/virtual drive it is used by two physical computers (it works but after restart you can use windows anymore because it tells about HAL layer problem).

Have you got any idea to manage one virtual machine which can be accessed via network by a lot of physical computer?

As far as networking is concerned, there is no difference between a virtual machine and a physical one. The physical machines accessing the vm do not need to know anything about virtual machines!

Simply change the networking setting on the vm to bridged mode. Make sure that it has an IP address in the same IP subnet as your physical machines. If you have a DHCP server on the network this should happen automatically. Your vm should now look just like an additional machine on your LAN and be reachable from any machine on the LAN.
