Hi everyone!
I am new to VM and might missed something.
When I was setting up Vbox on my Vista OS and chose
standard: 128 RAM, Dinamic box (not fixed memory)
and then when I was installing soft required 1GB of RAM
it was failure. I tried to increase amount of RAM manually
from the start again, however it(Vbox) stopped the process
of installing the software.
Moreover I have tried to fix that problem with Manager, but
could not able to run it.
Please direct me to the right way)
Not enough RAM for guest host

How much RAM do you have on the host?
32 or 64 bit?

32 bit, RAM is 3GB
here http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads I did not find 32 bit for Windows, so I downloaded * VirtualBox 3.2.8 for Windows hosts x86/amd64

Re: Not enough RAM for guest host
From the host terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use "" if the name has a space in it.
Also the guest log file (as an attachment)
Tell us exactly what is happening. I am sure you understand that we have no way to see or know unless you tell us everything.

I am not sure I understand what means the phrase above: "the host terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use "" if the name has a space in it"Perryg wrote:From the host terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Re: Not enough RAM for guest host
Shut down the guest and click the settings button.
See where it says 192 MB base memory? Change that to say 1 GB and save and start the guest.
Then try your program.

Re: Not enough RAM for guest host
it works, thanks!
I did not set up VM properly, did not run Vbox special additional files inside a Guest OS
could you please tell me how to use "manager" to operate with various parameters of VM?
