Hi,
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 Bit) on a Mac OSX (10.6) host. VB version 3.2.8. Just one network adapter active, NAT mode, intel Pro/1000 adapter emulation.
Whenever I access shared folders (via \\VBOXSVR) it takes FOREVER to get any results. Not just the first time I access the drive, every command takes at least a minute or two to execute ... changeing to subdirectories, opening files or saving files, everything!
It is the same with connections to a webDAV drive. Takes several minutes to even get logged in!
Any idea what could be causing this? It is a serious show stopper!
Cheers
Joe

Re: Network & shared drive access terribly slow!
I had a similar problem with an XP guest on a Windows 7 host. I had to disable Windows networking in the guest to get it to work correctly; with it disabled the shared folders are fast like it should be but you won't be able to access any samba shares. You can do this easily by disabling the 'Workstation' service and it might help in your situation as well.
Hope this helps
