Hey all,
This is doing my face in a bit. I would like to get my Windows 2008 R2 server's DHCP to spit an IP to my Windows 7 Client. I assumed by using host only that it would work. I have disabled the 'dhcp server' built into Virtualbox.. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Is the server a guest as well? Then use Internal for the adapters in the guests.

Re: Host-Only (MS Server + Client)
I am currently doing some study (MCITP) and I just want to setup a virtual network for a server and a client on my Macbook.. Is host-only the best method? Thanks for your help

Re: Host-Only (MS Server + Client)
As I said if the two guests are server and win 7 then use Internal. If you need the Internet then setup another VM that is used as router (ICS).
