Help "Could not find supported display mode" error

Post by noobofallnoobs »

I got this error when I tried to open a 3D game( Battle Realms :D ). It crashed when I opened it, and displaying an error "Could not find supported display mode". My host is running on a Win 7 Ultimate 64bit, Intel Pentium E5400, 4gb of RAM, and a GeForce 9600 GT videocard, and guest is a Win XP SP3, with guest additions installed and I also enabled the 3D acceleration on the display settings. Virtualbox version is 3.2.8. What could be the problem? Thanks!

Did you install the guest additions (in the guest) while in safe mode?

Well then the game must require more than VirtualBox has to offer at this point.

this is really weird,

considering the list of playable games here :

battle realms requirement is fairly inferior
