EDIT: From another thread "AFAIK there is no PCNet FAST-III driver for 64bit Windows". Ok nevermind! That explains it.
=====================================================================================================
I've installed WindowsXP x64 Professional as a guest running on a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Host.
The Guest is saying it can't find a driver for the Ethernet Controller which is showing in Other Devices in Device Manager.
I see no mention of having to download a driver manually myself, and I don't know what NIC VB emulates, or if I can even install the genuine driver or if it's a customized one. It just seems to work for everyone else using this Guest OS. I got bridged networking to work fine with WinXP Pro x86 so I don't think it's a setup issue, just lacking a driver.
I've installed the Guest Editions 3.2.8 and am using the same version of VirtualBox.
Thanks in advance, I'll go back to running WinXP Pro for now.
Windows XP x64 guest NIC driver?

Re: Windows XP x64 guest NIC driver?
Realised I had to shutdown the Guest in order to change the emulated network card... Duh...
