I am using NAT as my network adapter and it seems that everything else works. For example, I can connect to other network computers.

However, I installed my "PSAdmin" print server software, and when I run the TCP/IP Wizard, this error shows up after I try to specify the ip address for the print server: "Failed to save the configuration." This software works perfectly fine on my real computer.

Does anyone know how I can set this up correctly on my VM? Do I have to change the NAT option to something else?

Okay I fixed it, I changed NAT to "Bridged Adapter" and printing now works fine.

So since I am already behind a real router w/ firewall, I don't really need the NAT option, correct?
Is my VM still secure after changing from NAT to Bridged Adapter since I am behind a real router?

Hey looks like problem is solved!

basically, once I change to Bridged Adapter and then specify and IP address, I can change it back to NAT and it works! I still don't understand why but it seems to work.
