Hello:
I'm having problems with accessing my CD drive in windows XP guest from the command line. when I run 'CD D:\' from the command prompt, it just stays in the current directory. I've tried as the regular user and as administrator. Both times, the effect is the same. What settings need to be made to access the CD drive

Well you don't type cd d:\ in windows you just type d: and press enter.
Also if there is nothing in the CD be it an iso or real CD it will fail and say that the drive is not ready.
