Guru Meditation -225 error
Posted: 17. Sep 2010, 08:52
Hello,
Upgraded my computer recently to a dual-hex Mac Pro (2x5670), and now when attempting to start VMs that have more than one processor, I get a "Guru Meditation -225" error. This occurs with or without a guest OS installed (i.e. when attempting to install to a fresh VM, or using an existing VM), using either local (on an SSD) or network-located vdi files. Any idea what I should look at?
Currently I've been trying to install 64-bit windows 2008 server r2 from MSDN .isos or original media, or use the vdi file from my already installed and working Ubuntu virtual box (also 64-bit 2008 server r2, 2 virtual cores).
Have not tried reinstalling 2000, the vdi file from my prior install (1 virtual core) is working.
VT-x icon is lit at all times, appears functional.
Logfiles attached.
