Trying to install Snow Leo Server from Snow Leo

I'm running a late 2009 iMac using Snow Leopard. I just bought Snow Leo Server edition from Amazon (only $329!). I thought I would practice my installation on a virtual machine before actually doing it on my Xserve. I'm having trouble getting a read error, though.
