Tutorial on Bridge Network / run server in Virtual Box

Post by dprutean »

I want to configure a bridged network for Virtual Box, and searching the net I cound't find a tutorial to fix my problem.
Maybe some of you, guys, can help with a tutorial for this. This would be very useful, since it would give the chance to start a server in Virtual Box and make it visible in intranet.
In my case I want to start a Sybase database server in Virtual Box, and NAT seems not to be enough. Servers like this requires many resources, and starting them in Virtual Box is an advantage.
My host is Windows 7, guest Ubuntu 10.4 ( latest ).

Select Bridged mode in the setting for the guest. Nothing more to do in VirtualBox. The rest will be on the Guest OS side.
