Screen Captures and 3D acceleration

I've just noticed since I have made a few of my Linux guests look pretty that "Take Screenshot" or any other method of trying to capture the screen comes up black as long as 3D acceleration is checked in the guest. Is there a fix for this that I've missed or is it just the nature of virtualization? I run Ubuntu natively and it works there.

thanks

Seems to be the way it is with 3D and Compiz and the like. Screen overlay does not capture.

what I discovered since my post was, for some reason the new Linux Mint Debian does get captured. must be an ubuntu based distro problem.

I don't think it's limited to Ubuntu. As long as you have 3D enabled and USE it in the VM, you won't get a proper screenshot. This means that if you use Compiz on Mint or Debian, you get the same result.

Well, here's a link to a screenshot of taking a screenshot inside Linux Mint Debian, and it is running in 3d mode with Compiz...

as you can see, "take screenshot"'s window is not blank or black

Hi, i just wanted to note that this also solved the problem that I was having with RDP to the Ubuntu guest showing as a blank screen.
