Hi all,
I just installed a new Windows 7 Guest (32 Bit) on a Linux host (Suse 11.1 - 32 Bit) with VBox 3.2.8.
I spent some time installing all open Updates and MS Security Essentials as well as Office 2010 and Adobe Reader.
Now the machine is as ready as it can be and i start it as a headless server (Vboxheadless).
I just realised that when I start it up there is a task named vbheadless and it takes up 100% of the cpu. Of course this is the VM booting. BUT: While my old Windows XP guest only took 2-4 Minutes to boot and then fell down to 2% CPU, the windows 7 guest needs 100% for almost 20 minutes even when i am not logged in. What is going on here? Is this normal?
Host: P4 3.0 GHz, 3 GB Ram. VM has 1.5 GB Ram assigned.
Regards,
Martin
