NT4 Guest Video Driver Problem

I've got an NT4 Guest OS installed but any time I attempt to install the Vbox Video drivers I get the following error.

"you may not have the required privileges to install a new driver"

My host os is windows XP SP3

The driver seems to work just fine in the NT4 Workstation guest I have set up. Any ideas?

This would be an issue with the guest and not VirtualBox. The error indicates that your permission level is not adequate to install device drivers.
Try as administrator. This also could be an issue if you do not have the appropriate service pack installed. Service pack 6a is a must.

Thats not a VirtualBox Problem. You must login as administrator, not as user.

Sorry for no reply's but this project was put on hold for a while. I am using the Admin account and I'm also up to SP6a. I did get past the permissions problem in the registry but even though it installs the driver now I'm told the display driver is either missing or not properly configured. Any other ideas?

No. It must be a problem of your guest. I think you have something misconfigured.

Again: Its a BOX problem. For me it works perfectly in Win NT 4.0.

Try setting up a new guest and dont change the settings to much :)

Will do. It does work flawlessly on my NT4 workstation virtual. I used a ghost image to create the server and i will have an opportunity to get a new image of the same product soon. I suspect that there were problems with the system long before I virtualized it.

Well...after about 60 hours on 2 hours of sleep i got the video working. 2d and 3d acceleration enabled and the next reboot after a driver install and I was cooking with gas. Thanks for the input!
