Hello.
I have Virtual Box 3.2.8 installed and I need to stop and remove the vboxdrv kernel driver service without system restart and without uninstalling VirtualBox.
I have tried net stop, sc stop, WIN32 ControlService(), MSI service control table but in all cases the service remains stuck in STOP_PENDING and it can only be stopped and removed without system restart by uninstalling VirtualBox.

Hope you can help me on this one.

Please explain what it is you are trying to achieve and why.

Sadly, I cannot talk about my project. Like I said, I need to stop and remove the vboxdrv kernel driver service without system restart and without uninstalling VirtualBox because I want to install an older version of vboxdrv kernel driver service and keep the current version of VirtualBox.
I have made the same test on a Win XP machine ( the first test was made on Win 7 ) and the service is also stuck in STOP_PENDING.

Without further explanation I can not help you.
Since it is obvious that you are trying to create a different application it falls outside the scope of this forum.
