Hi,
I have windows XP installed as a guest OS on Mac Leopard. I want to know if there is a trackpad software for windows which will enable the multi touch functionality inside windows XP as well.
Thanks & Regards,
Rahul

In the Guest there is only a PS/2 Wheel Mouse emulated. And you can use external USB Devices.
Thats it.
You cant use other devices like firewire, pci etc.

Re: Multi touch trackpad software for windows XP
Thanks for the response, but I think I was unable to make you understand properly.
In my guest OS (windows XP), the trackpad of my macbook pro is detected, as in, I can scroll using two fingers, click by a tap, etc, but 3 fingers gestures like are not emulated in windows XP. Is there a way to emulate these. Lot of times when I am browsing, to back to the last page I visited I simply swipe 3 fingers to the left in Mac. Can I do the same in windows XP by installing some software?

Btw, since you mentioned that USB drives can be accessed from the guest OS. Can you please tell me how? I have connected a USB drive, which my Mac detects, but inside windows I am unable to see it.

I dont think that the trackpad is detected.
The guests detects a ps2 wheel mouse. Thats the reason you can scroll.
For USB you need the PUEL Version from the Homepage. OSE has no USB.

Oh. I get your point, you might be right, it just detects it as ps2 wheel mouse.
Btw, How can I quickly confirm if I have PUEL version? and If i do have PUEL version how can I access my USB drive? I think I have PUEL version, and I am still unable to access USB drive.

Can you enable USB in the guest settings? Then you have the PUEL Version.
Try to unmount the drive on the host. BTW: What is the filesystem of the drive? If its mounted on host, its easier to use as a Shared Folder.

Re: Multi touch trackpad software for windows XP
The question is how to install the Apple drivers (magic trackpad, magic mouse, keyboard etc.) which are available with bootcamp if you did not installed Windows with bootcamp but directly with VirtualBox?
It seems that a few people have been able to install them http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24877 by mounting the Mac OS intallation disk. It is a very important question addressed to VirtualBox.
