WIN7 on MAC OSX - resolution to 1440 x 900?

Hey all,

i try to enabel on WIN7 the 1440 x 900 resolution.
So i googled and found the command:

>> VBoxManage setextradata "WIN7 Enterprise" VBoxInternal2/EfiGopMode 4

But nothing happend to my WIN7 VM, its still on 1024 x 768. Is there something else i have to do?

Install the guest additions (in the guest)

i installed them, but i still have only "Standard Plug and Play Monitor" with max 1024 x 768 resolution.

That's because that's the max resolution you can select with your current Host resolution when in windowed mode. Go to full screen, it will go to 1440 x 900.
