Command Prompt Full Screen

I have a virtual box on Mac OS and I'm running windows XP on it. Everything works fine except for the command prompt. It does not go into full screen mode when pressed ALT+ENTER.
I've tried everything I could but to no avail. Whenever I press the Alt+Enter combination, the size of the command prompt remains the same, it comes in between with black background all around. Can anyone please tell me how to make the command prompt go full screen?
Thank you.

That is because the resolution of the Guest is changed to fix the command prompt. This resolution is a fixed one, hard coded in Windows. Nothing we can do about.

So when Windows XP is operated via a Virtual Box, command prompt screen won't ever maximize to full screen? There is no way to do this?

You can go to full screen with the command prompt, but it will stick at the text mode 80x25 characters. If you want to have a bigger command prompt window, change the properties of it. Can be accessed from shortcut properties.
