Then look for the 'import existing VM' feature request in the Bugtracker (separate account needed). There already is such a request there that asks to allow imports of existing VMs, other than using the OVF format. VMWare doesn't auto-add VMs either, you have to manually add them, but it's easier than with VB. This VMW feature would help VB to become the top one, instead of part of the top three type-2 hypervisors.
