No seamless mode/autoresize with standard user

Post by drillhead »

Hello,

I just finished a Gentoo installation within Virtualbox 3.2.8 with unmasked guest additions 3.2.8. I use KDE 4.5.

As long as I login as root, auto resize and seamless mode work perfectly but when i login with my standard user both auto resize and seamless mode do not work.

However, when I am logged in as standard user, I can change the resolution manually and the the screen resizes, but e.g. dragging the host window to a larger or smaller size with the mouse or using the host key has no effect.

Could anyone please be so kind and help me here?

The solution is "gpasswd -a user vboxguest"
