Selecting Disks

Post by RayG »

I want to add some specific disks to a configuration but there does not seem to be a way of selecting the ones I want via the settings GUI. I have to add all the disks and then when I have the ones I want delete the others provided the controller I want them on does not reach capacity

e.g.

If I have the OS on IDE and I want to attach "z_disk" and I have "a_disk", "b_disk", "c_disk" etc. I cannot attach z_disk.

I have to remove the others from the Disk Manager add the one I want and then add the others back.

Am I missing something?

What kind of disks are you talking about? HDDs? CD/DVD? Floppy?

In each case, click on the existing entry then select a new file from the dropdown list in the right panel. Seems simple enough to me. I have problems with the design of the Storage UI, but that isn't one of them.

OK I see it now - obvious when you know how but the GUI is not intuitive in that sense those little + signs should allow you to choose when you click on them.

Thanks
