Windows Ïnstaller issue (Ubuntu 10.4 host, Win XP SP3 guest)

Hi!! I have recenlty installed Virtual Box 3.2.8 r64453 at Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Kernel 2.6.32-24-generic)

Then i put Windows XP SP3 as guest running that version of Virtual Box. When i want to install some soft in the guest, the installer can't execute, instead a warning message appears: "Can't execute Windows Installer, make sure you are not in failsafe mode, reinstalling Windows installer could solve the problem" (Or something like that)

Could it be a RAM memory issue? I have 1GB and assigned 400 MB to Windows guest.

Maybe an incompatibility issue between Ubuntu and Virtual Box versions?

Thank you in advance.

Sebastián D' Alessandro.

What is the program and where are you installing it from? Local or shared resource.

Or perhaps you really do need to reinstall the Windows installer.
