<SOLVED> Unable to start Ubuntu 10.04-installation

Hi there!

I've got a problem with installing the Ubuntu 10.04.

When it boots from the dvd/cd it shows 2 small icons in the bottom of the screen, I press enter just to test and it brings up the language-selection.
I choose English and the menu appears.

Problem is that nothing happends when I press enter on either of the menu choices.

I tried download both the x86 and x64-version, same problem.

I booted with the 9.04 instead, worked like a charm.

Also managed to install Linux Mint without any major issues.

What's wrong? Why does it ignore my selection?

Hmm..

Had some problems with an opensuse installation too, it turned out to be the disc-image from the direct download link that's broken, I'll try another image from ubuntu... :)

This was interesting.

Downloaded the 10.04.1 from ftp.sunet.se (LTS-version), now the installation works!

Man that's annoying that the official image doesn't work for me when I download it from the official site.. but hey, maybe I'm just unlucky!

Thanks for reading anyway :)
