WIN7 Resolution issue

Just loaded my first WIn 7 VB.
The resolution is set at 800x600 and I can not change it.
I can not see the entire screen and The Host+A has no effect.
It does not allow me to scroll either.
Any Ideas
WIN7 Starter Build 7600

Starter error, you didn't install the Guest Additions. See the manual for more information.

Win 7 Starter should work fine if you have installed the guest additions.
Have you tried simply dragging a corner of the window to resize it? You should be able to use any size up to the physical size of your display.

I have uploaded a screenshot of WIn 7 Starter running at 1760x990 under VirtualBox to my skydrive.

I can re size the screen by dragging but under no scenario can I enlarge it enough or change the resolution of the display to FIT the whole desktop into the screen.

Did you try HostKey + F? Usually, the HostKey is the right CTRL key. CTRL F is a toggle.

I may have made a small error in my choice of words (the word 'starter' to be exact). I wasn't talking about the Windows version 'Starter', but just beginners error.
Anyway, if you installed the Guest Additions in the Guest system, and it's not working as it should, something must have gone wrong with the installation.
I just checked what you are allowed to do with Windows 7 Starter, and installing it in a virtual machine is NOT allowed. In addition, Starter is only supplied with OEM systems like Netbooks. There is no retail version, thus licensewise, you're not allowed to run it on other hardware, let alone a VM (as stated earlier).
Sorry, but there is no way we can support Windows 7 Starter with all these limitations that is in the OS itself.

It is not supported but it works just fine.

Sasquatch,
My bad choice of words too, I wrote starter but I meant the basic edition. What it actually is Home.
Anyway, I deleted the VB and installed it again.
Seems to be Ok now.

Absolute VirtualBox noob here. I was having the same problem, after weeks of enjoying full-screen Windows 7. I finally explored a little and discovered that Host+G auto resizes the screen. Now that I have enabled that, I am once again, in full screen bliss!
