Second monitor always black with WinXP Host

Post by designpattern »

I'm running WinXP in VirtualBox 3.2.8 on my PowerBook with OS X 10.6 and a second monitor attached.

When I enable the second monitor in VirtualBox, the WinXP SP3 guest shows it correctly in the Display Properties control panel and a second window is opend by VirtualBox. The problem is, that the second window/monitor remains always completely black.

Any idea what I'm missing or how to debug this behaviour?

Please change the topic title by changing the subject of your first post. As it is now, the subject alone is enough for a lock as you appear to post a Windows Host question on the Mac Host forum.

Now for the actual issue, did you read the manual on how to use multiple monitors and actually enabled it in the guest OS settings?
