Hello,
I am currently running Virtual Box 3.2.6 on Mac OS X 10.6, and I will be soon acquiring a license for the most recent versions of Altium Designer and Solidworks. I am wondering if it is possible to run these two software packages within Virtual Box under a Windows 7 guest.
If it is possible to do so, then what would be a good configuration for the Windows 7 guest? Should the Windows 7 guest be a 32-bit or 64-bit version?

3CAD in a VM? Forget it. Start this Software native under WIndows. All other "solutions" are crappy be default. You need 3D for VGA, that needs full / native VGA access.

Okay, thanks Stefan! This helps me to better understand what is required for using 3D CAD programs. I will have to use the software natively under Windows.
