Install 3rd party application using CD

Post by hedystafford »

I'm a beginner here, and think I must be missing something really obvious. CD is immediately grabbed by Mac, and I cannot find a way to get Virtual Vista to see it so I can download 3rd party software (PG Band in a Box). My Parallels Trial version recognises it immediately. I tried going the same route as getting it to recognise my USB devices via settings, but can't see an obvious path for CD drive.

When the VM is running, simply click on the Devices menu, then the CD/DVD item and select your host drive. That's all. When the VM is turned off, you open the VM settings, go to Storage, select the DVD drive and select the physical drive from the drop down box.
