USB Help

Forgive me for I am new to VirtualBox. I'm running version 3.2.8 of VB on macOSX Leopard.

I am trying to connect my blackberry to use on my host via USB. While my VB box is open, the USB port icon is NOT grayed out, however, it says "no device attached". USB 2.0 is enabled in my settings for my host on VB. I also made sure that usb was enabled in a terminal VBoxManage window.

I apologize as I'm sure it's something rather amateur that I'm asking, but where am I going wrong?

Try starting guest without the phone is attached.

Create an Empty USB Filter.

Then attach the phone.
