how to avoid the automatic change of the VM resolution ?

Post by ithaque »

hello

first i'd like to thanks for this very good software : virtualbox helps me a lot :)

however, i just have a question :
is it possible to avoid the automatic change of the resolution of the guest virtual machine ?

indeed, when one changes the size of the virtual machine window on the host, the resolution of the guest screen is automatically changed , what is annoying for me .... :(

I am not sure that I understand your concern. How often do you change the resolution in the host OS? Why?

The guest display is simply a window opened inside the host's display. If you change the resolution from the host OS it must affect the guest.

Host+G key toggles 'Guest Display Auto-resize'.
('Guest Display Auto-resize' on the running VM's Machine menu.)
