The driver is installed and the windows manager says it is working. The driver is Intel® 82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller. Is this the same as the ICH AC97 in the Virtual Box program, which is selected as the diver for the virtual machine.

When I play windows media player it shows an error that the sound driver is not working.

Host is MBP.

I seem to have found a solution. I needed to activate the sound service, which I did and it now works.
