windows 7 guest install mouse and other problems

Post by jobiwan »

When I click in window to capture mouse, the mouse movement is very slow and has areas where it will just jump to top left corner of the screen. I can install just using keyboard, but then I get "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing." And then it wants to browse for it.

Install the guest additions (in the guest)
Click the link below. It's the online users manual.

According to manual guest additions occur after install of guest OS. This is happening during install of guest OS.

If you have attached the ISO file to the CD/DVD in the guest settings then I would say that the ISO file more than likely is bad.
If yo downloaded the file using a download manager this is usually the cause. Try another download or a different install and see if it works.
