Okay so i set up a guest that has 2 different masters and installed a different OS on each of the .vdi files, I hit f12 at boot to select which master i want, but both are loading the primary master.... Is it possible to have a guest that can dual boot?

Unless you are testing something, why not just have 2 guests? Are you using sata or ide controller?

IDE, I'd really prefer to do it like this though.

Use the sata, which probably works better, or use a boot manager such as grub.

When setting sata you can't define a secondary master in virtualbox Thanks for the suggestion though

afaik sata uses ports. which can support upto 30 devices.

yes, but you have to hit f12 to choose the device to boot and it always comes up as slave when you set it to sata. On IDE you can choose the secondary master, but it still ends up booting the primary master; same thing for sata. I'm trying to do two different windows guests might try toying around with boot.ini to get it to load.

Well this seems impossible i installed GAG (a graphical boot loader) and it only detected an OS on my main partition. *sends in feature request for dual-bootable guest systems*
